No. It caches them as whole files.

Depends on your version of Squid.
  Squid-2.6 or 2.7 will start sending client 2 the same file client 1
fetched.
  Squid 3.x will fetch a new copy in parallel. As soon as one of the two
has finished it will start serving client 3,4,5 etc as HITs.
