[squid-users] optimizing squid

I am trying to configure squid for the optimum performance(fast).

uname -a

I am looking for the comments and suggestions for the 'configure
options' I used, but esp for the following options

--with-maxfd=32000 --with-aufs-threads=44 --with-pthreads

are they optimized and recommended ?
