[squid-users] Question on usage

Hello, I am looking for a little guidance. I am looking for a way to
speed up a web site. The site is broken up however into a total of
approximately 7 web applications on 7 servers. The portal is the main
and has links to each of the others. I was wondering if it is
possible to use SQUID to do caching for this setup?

My next question is about network routing changes. I am guessing that
you need to change routing around so that a domain name for example
will point to the caching server, and if it then needs to grab the
information it will continue on to the correct server?

So are there options in the configuration to tell SQUID that it needs
to cache requests to several different servers?

Sorry if these questions are a little elementary, but I have never set
up caching before so this is kind of new.

Thanks for any help or guidance.

Matthew
