To answer my own questions...
always_direct accepts only one acl entry per line. This is findable in
the Squid Config Manual available by following the links from the
www.squid-cache.org documentation page.
If you are configuring a squid proxy that sits behind another proxy
(xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:80) you cannot have hierarchy_stoplist or
always_direct in your configuration, as you don't have the "go
directly to" option of routing.
I am still having some small difficulties with posting to PHP based
websites, yahoo mail, etc, but I believe that is a time-out related
issue.
Are there any configuration oddness for connecting
squid->squid-> yahoo that anyone is aware of?
