I use squid on a proxy on a customer site in order to provide access to
staff, while not on site, to IP restricted websites. However, as this
facility becomes more widely used it will impact on the bandwidth to my
customer's site, as off site staff will be using the squid as a proxy
for all web sites they visit, and not just for the ones we need to
provide to them.
Unfortunately, most browsers only allow you to say "Don't proxy these
sites" rather than "Only proxy these sites". Is it possible to configure
squid somehow to do this i.e. so that when it receives a request for a
particular site (or rather - any site except for a limited number) it
says "No, sorry, no can do - get that yourself directly please"
Kindest regards,
Niall O Broin
