Hi
I had the same problem but it was not for all the browsers. The machine
I was making the test had the same problem but the others worked well. I
thought it was a minor bug or something. I was using ldap for
authentication.

Subject: [squid-users] Squid auth modules and dns

Hi all

I'm using the Squid proxy 2.4 stable7 for some proxy server over my
intranet.
I implemented the auth module so i can add user to my mysql server and
permit or deny the browser over the proxy.

On that kind of configuration i have only a strange problem.

When the first time an user type for example http://www.squid-cache.org
the
system reply him the the username/password logon windows.. that's
correct..
the user insert the right login and password and pufff... the browser
return a dns error.
If U press the refresh button on the browser the page will be loaded
without any trouble..

Why the first time i receive always that dns error ? Anyone have an idea
?
Some particular parameter on the config ?

best regards.
