[squid-users] Squid is not caching!

Dears,

I noticed that squid is not caching anything! it is always requesting web
pages from it's parent cache.
as mentioned earlier, it is logged in the access.log as:

1058770020.531 6820 x.x.x.x TCP_MISS/200 18198 GET http://www.apple.com/ -
DEFAULT_PARENT/my.parent.cache text/html

any hints?
