[squid-users] Squid shutdowns

Hi list,

I am running Squid Stable 2.4-7 to Stable 2.5-3 on a couple of machines. Some of
them are configured to use PROXY_AUTH, either with the squid_ldap_* modules or
with the basic NCSA_auth helpers. The rest of the squid configuration is
basically the Squid defaults. It works fine most of the time, but sometimes
(approximately once or twice a month) the Squid processes just disappear and I
have to restart Squid manually. There is no evidence in the logfiles of the
systems why they disappeared. What I find a bit weird is, that the Squid logs
(access.log, cache.log and store.log) are deleted when that happend. Any help
is appreciated.
