[squid-users] trying to use a parent....

Hi all,

i have been looking everywhere to find any information how to configure
squid to
use another proxy as a secondary target (so if my first proxy doesnt have
the information it will ask proxy nr2, and if proxy nr2 doesnt have the
information it will go directly to the final site)

i have added the following to test this:

cache_peer proxy.domain.xx parent 8080 7 no-query default
prefer_direct off

and i have also tested:

cache_host proxy.domain.xx parent 8080 3130 no-query default

im running Squid/2.2.STABLE5 and i have enabled the proxy on port 8080 and
port 3130 (icp)
im running this on a debian....

and all i can see in the proxy nr 2 is this:

1018967734.271 0 195.xxx.xxx.xxx UDP_MISS/000 76 ICP_QUERY
http://proxy.domain.com:8080/squid-internal-dynamic/netdb - NONE/- -
1018967734.281 7 195.xxx.xxx.xxx TCP_MISS/200 11955 GET
