Arun,
I use the NCSA authentication scheme.
I use a script to run through the logfile /usr/local/squid/logs/access.log.
If you look into the logfile you will see that each url is listed with a
username of the person who tried to get that url. Example:
991865219.313 100 172.226.231.4 TCP_MISS/304 261 GET
http://132.7.57.116/mrtg/lr001sw4.lr00
1.xxx.nl.60-year.gif peter FIRST_UP_PARENT/bogus.xxx.nl -
This person "peter" tried to get the above mentioned url.
I use sarg from http://inter.rags.ru/orso/
It parces through the logfile and creates a nice html output, with howmuch
each user had downloaded etc. Our management likes this very much.
Peter
