Do you mean it uses NTLM authentication? If so, then turn that off. NTLM
authentication for web sites is non-proxiable by design. MS have technotes
on this and there is an entry in the squid faq with the reasoning.
It's not a software fault with squid or with IIS or the browser.
A better solution if you need the security is Digest Authentication or SSL.
