Fall-through Authentication

G'day all,

I have been asked to implement a system of fall through
authentication for my workplaces proxies. I was wondering
if anyone had managed to do this?

By Fall-through:

Squid receives a request for a page;
        checks ACL's and finds authentication required
        if Authentication comes back negative
                (either not found/ incorrect)
        use next authentication method.

More specifically the first authentication method is a
ldap directory mounted locally and the second authentication
call is to the central ldap server which the local ldap's are
refreshed from.

Any Ideas?
