I have encountered this problem occassionally. It stems from getting an
authoritative NXDOMAIN response to a DNS query.

It is more likely to occur on the one system running Squid but not BIND
(named). Resolv.conf on this system points to the local, master domain
server. The problem seems to be more one of unfortunate timing than an
actual error.

If you don't want to wait for your Squid's name cache to time out, you can
fix the problem using cachemgr to force load the URL in question.
