Not sure on individual ACL lines, but I was testing a 13,000+ line
dstdomain acl imported from a file and squid processing times where
1-2ms in the access.log.

This was on a PII-300Mhz BSDI 3.1 box with 128M RAM and UW SCSI disks. I
have not tested it under heavy load, just 'in the lab' so far..

I was using the client program to test, connecting to localhost .

Yes, the default in squid2 is splay-tree.
