I had that problem for ages, in the end hacked out a perl script to make
the logs more intelligable.
It's only useful for reviewing grep'd logs, and it's perhaps fairly
suspect (my perl is ok, but probably someone will comment on it) .. but if
it's ok, I'll post it here.. :)
It takes a line like:
901484041.955 6491 192.168.5.15 TCP_MISS/200 5733 GET
http://209.54.41.193/acsesbin/nph-det.cgi - DIRECT/209.54.41.193 text/html
And produces:
Date: Mon Jul 27 08:14:01 1998 Local IP: 192.168.5.15 (user -)
URL: http://209.54.41.193/acsesbin/nph-det.cgi (GET 6491 bytes)
Remote: 209.54.41.193 (DIRECT)
Result: [200] Success (cache TCP_MISS)
I'm not sure if I've got the size from the right field :)
