RE: Using external authentication

I am using that version - how would I go about implementing external
authentication ?

What I have done so far:
        Installed Red Hat Linux
        Installed and succesfully run squid
        Extracted the source & edited the makedev file (perhaps
incorrectly)
        As soon as I try to compile it stops at the file I edited
