Look for the "Comments" section at
http://www.cs.ndsu.nodak.edu/~rousskov/research/cache/squid/profiling/stats/
"Most measurements were done using 20 minute slots. Currently we
analyze HTTP traffic only. ICP entries are ignored."
Clearly, there are peaks where a busy proxy server will process more than 20
requests per second. Our plots show what one might call average processing
rate within 20 min slots.
