Silly questions: CGI and Preformance

Ok.. i've read lots of this mailing list.
Now I have some questions (silly, you see):
1)
    Well... I moved squid's cgi to my cgi-bin. But it requires some
password.
    I wonder which one? (docs on cgi are NOT very useful)
2)
    The preformance. Something strange happens. I've got prefmeter
    under Sparc-Solaris 2.5.1 There are two strange things. Sometimes it

    begins to jump up-n-down (I think that's how squid manages http
requests),
    and right now it stays 100% !! (when i use "top" the result differs
