Traffic monitoring tools

Hi squiders,

I'd like to monitor/analyze traffic into/out of our cache server.
We're running Squid 1.0.17 on Linux 2.0.7 box, and want to get
traffic monitoring/analyzing tools for Linux.

I've got some famous packages - NNStat, NSFwatch, ..., however,
as I know, these all need somewhat serious code hacking but I don't have
much time to hack them. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
                                 (Am I wrong?)

Maybe it would be a great help for system administrators running cache server
to summarize about these tools tuned for each platforms. If it exists on
somewhere already(especially Linux or FreeBSD, relatively low-cost ;),
plz, let me know it.
