I dislike it. The auth programs should be small and specific.
My vote is to instead add automatic building of the distributed auth
modules to the makefile. It acheives exactly the same goal of allowing
the user to change auth method runtime without having to build a new
binary, while preserving the simlicity of the individual auth modules.
